I don't know what I want or I would buy it. I just know what I want it to do. I am willing to make or have parts made to make it fit my eads with in reason. I condenser carier for Zeiss WL, Universal or Photo Microscope that would mount a Olympus 1.4 n.a Aplanat Achromat http://science-info.org/pages/GCouger/ would solve 75% of my problems. If it also worked Letiz dovetails it would be better.
It must have an adjustable monocular tube. The more adjust the better. Take interchangeable coaxial condensers at least 37 mm in diameter & not have limits on top and bottom mounted condensers.
The objective to stage distance needs to be adjustable and small enough for pre DIN objectives.
It would be nice if it had a rotating stage with 1/2 degree markings But I can fix that on most stands.
The condition needs to be mechanically very good and durable. I don't care about the cosmetic looks of the microscope only the function.
